Helena Richardson or as she was known “Lena” is part of a collection of 24 post cards and letters during WW1. They are from 8 soldiers one being a cousin. Lena worked at LEGGO’S Bendigo and it is believed that some of the soldiers may have worked there as well.

This is a set of six photographs of Lithographic Squadron personnel with Defence Cooperation Program (DCP) students at the Army Survey Regiment, Fortuna Villa, Bendigo Victoria, 1985. These informal and formal group photos were taken on the day of a CO’s Parade. Litho Squadron provided printing and photographic reproduction to the two DCP students. RA Svy also provided technical training to DCP students in map production skills such as, cartography and photogrammetry at the Army Survey Regiment and the School of Military Survey, Bonegilla. The Australian Defence Force over several years sponsored international students from counties such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu. It is not known which South Pacific country these DCP students came from.

Princess Mary gift box was intended to be distributed to all members of the British Armed Forces at Christmas 1914, during WW1. It contained various gifts including chocolate, cigarettes and tobacco.
Gold colour tin with ornate design on front, with an image of Princess Mary within a circle and laurels. There is a stylised "M" on either side. Along the outside is written "Imperial Brittani cum". On top centre and around the edges is the name of various other allies.

1. Pale cream colour postcard with an embroidered front in the form of a folded envelope. On top part is embroidered a red and green bunch of flowers. On the bottom part is embroidered a message. Inside the pocket is a card. 2. The card has a message surrounded by 8 shields with the flags of the various allies in WW1.

This is a British pattern peaked cap. It is of black wool. The peak is black leather. It has a red band around the crown and a thin red piece if piping around the top of the brim. Badge - a band of Oak leaves, a Crown at the top with two crossed swords in centre of Oak leaf wreath.
Inside the plastic liner is a ticket with this on it:- A3/92041 CAPT. D.F.V. Hufer. Stamped underneath leather hat band is B.W.^D. ?04.

This is the final 4 pages of the Scrap book Cat No 8225. Page 17. The article refers to Mrs Doreen Crawford having spent 12 years as Assistant Secretary at the Bendigo RSL Memorial Hall until 1967, on leaving this job she took on a Visiting Officers role with Legacy in McKenzie Street Bendigo where she be looking after and visiting approximately 200 War Widows in their own homes as well as Homes & Hospitals. Page 18 & 19. The two photos re building sites pertain to the construction of the War Widows Flats in Kangaroo Flat about 1971/72. Page 20a. The B & W photo shows the completed War Widows Flats in Kangaroo Flat in 1973. This was a project by the War Veterans Homes Trust and the Bendigo RSL. Page 20b. The article is re the newly installed Bendigo RSL President Jack Plant receiving a Life Membership in 1974 from Robert Temple immediate past President. This document relating to the Agreement between the Bendigo Council and the Bendigo Returned Sailors and Soldiers Association re the use of the Soldiers Memorial Institute Pall Mall Bendigo is a day to day working copy of Cat No 8222 dated 22.4.1920 pre the opening of the building in 1921. Some of the hand written notes in left hand column are; Rental, Maintenance, Trustees, Right to hold meetings, Conduct, Control of grounds and portico.
Legal document heavy paper light brown colour, basically a copy of Cat No 8222 without the hand written signatures and red seals. They are held together via a green cord sewn through the papers. In the space column notes have been hand written in pencil to make easier to find a paragraph on subjects relating to the use of the Building.

Metal and enamel lapel pin. The centre features a Rising Sun over an anchor. Below is a set of wings surrounding the word 'Australia'. Encircling the centre feature are the words 'Korea and S.E. Asian Forces Association'. Around the outer edge is a gold coloured laurel wreath topped with a Queen's Crown. A detachable Queens Crown with '75' embossed is attached to top of badge. Pin and clasp on back.
