These photographs are of Lochiel "Lagoon next to the Cameron House, "Lochiel" owned by James Cameron.
The three Cameron brothers had entered into a partnership - John selected 200 acres, James 235 acres and Alex. 273 acres, all adjoining. They also took up 'Lochiel' under the suburban lot scheme. The 'Lochiel‟ property went to James on the dissolution of the partnership.

Significance

This is a pictorial record of Orbost in the early 20th century.
This item is also associated with James Cameron, a prominent early Orbost identity.
