This set of readers was a reprint,by the Victorian Ministry of Education, of the original readers first published in 1926

Significance

This set was presented to Marian Houghton (teacher) by a parent as a memento of her own school days
"But they are not the quality of the ones we used as kids. The original had hard covers"
