"League of Soldiers' Friends", part of the "Soldiers Institute" operated an "open-air" lounge in the grounds of St Paul's Cathedral where returned soldiers could gather for refreshments and was alcohol free.

Notes regarding the aquistion of, information, correspondence and photographs compiled by Harry Gilham (EDHS) regarding the donation of a large cash book of the "League of Soldiers' Friends" (1918) to EDHS which was subsequently donated to the Archives at St Paul's Cathedral, Melbourne.
