Rev. Dr Letty Russell (20 September 1929-12 July 2007) was an American Presbyterian minister and member of the World Council of Churches Faith and Order Commission and a consultant to the WCC regarding the participation of women in the church. She was a member of the first class of women admitted to the Harvard Divinity School, and one of the first women ordained in the United Presbyterian Church (USA). She taught at Yale Divinity School for 28 years. She was a graduate of Union Theological Seminary, author of 17 books, and very active in the ecumenical movement.
