Historical information
Mountain Grange was the property owned by Thomas Hand. It stood where the Kalorama Oval now is. The land around Mountain Grange was used for community gatherings for cricket and picnics etc.The adults and children in this photograph are not named but would have been local residents. Thomas Hand died in 1888. The picnic was held in 1919 to celebrate Peace after WW1.
