Historical information
The recently completed building in the photograph is the Sunbury United Sporting Club's clubrooms, which is in Mitchells Lane, Sunbury. It was built for the local Sunbury soccer club in the 1980s and is known as Langama Park.
Significance
Along with VFL football, soccer is also a popular game in Sunbury. Its popularity came about when many migrants from the UK settled in the town in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
