Photographs of the J. Gadsden and Co. picnic in Greensborough, in 1934. Photographs have no names. In this photograph a group of men participate in a wheelbarrow race, possibly an activity on the day. Greensborough was a popular venue for picnics up till the early 20th century, with inner city people travelling to the 'country side' for a day out, either in delivery vans or on the train.

Significance

Gadsden's produced packing materials - originally paper and cardboard, then food cans.
