Churchill Island Heritage Farm has a large photograph collection dating from the mid-nineteenth century to the last decade.This series of photographs were taken in the late 1890s and show scenes from around the island while it was owned by Samuel Amess and his family.
Physical description
Black and White photograph taken from the late nineteenth century showing groups of people standing out the front of Amess House. There is a covered cannon on the right hand side of the frame and an immature Norfolk Pine in the background.
