8th (Indi) Light Horse was an antecedent of the 8/13th Victorian Mounted Rifles. 8/13 VMR linked with 4/19 PWLH to form a new regiment of two squadrons one of which was VMR Squadron.

Physical description

Wooden shield with metal embellishments intended for section shooting competition. Used 1929-1930 by 8th (Indi) Light Horse; then 8th 13 Victorian Mounted Rifles 1975-1976 and lastly VMR Squadron 4/19 Prince of Wales's Light Horse 1991-1994.
