Historical information

Lieutenant, later Major Robert Morrison was instrumental in raising the 8/13 Victorian Mounted Rifles Heritage Troop. The Troop consisted of serving soldiers of the regiment as an extracurricular duty and carried out numerous community and official activities including regal and vice-regal escorts.

Significance

Good study of citizen soldier officer engaged in community activity.
