Charlton Post Office High Street built 1879 to replace the original small post office built in Camp St in 1878. Possibly copied from a photograph in the Weekly Times or the Leader c. 1910

1923 flood - Telegraph Hotel, Armstrong Street Charlton. Obituary: Charlton 100 years ago 18-02-1922 - 24/02/1922. Mr Francis Gilbert Livingstone passed away at Castlemaine on 14th ins. He was a very well known & highly respected old resident of Charlton & Narrewillock. Until October last he held the license of the Telegraph Hotel and was a familiar figure in his wheel chair under the shade trees at land at Narrewillock, where he farmed until failing health compelled him to give up the strenuous work of those early pioneering days, and in 1892 he took the license of the Telegraph Hotel which he retained until recently. He was 61 years of age.

The Charlton Presbyterian Church was built in 1871 by James Patterson, a contractor and grazier of Nardoo Park, Woosang.

The Presbyterian Church was built in 1871 by local contractor and grazier James Patterson of Nardoo Park, Woosang. The Presbyterian and Methodist Churches formed combined Parish in 1969. The buildings were demolished in 1989.

There is also a bell tower, a small gothic arched window and a small round leadlight window on the front wall. The church hall is a white weatherboard building with blue trim. Red brick pillars stand at the entrance to the church and the hall. A large electricity pole is in front of the hall.

Black and white photo of a bullock team and wagon outside Glenloth Store and Hotel c. 1900. There are 10 bullocks pulling the wagon. A man in a hat is standing beside the bullocks holding a whip. The dray is loaded with three layers of full bags and there is a bicycle on top of the bags. There are two buildings behind the bullock dray. The building on the right has a large sign reading GLENLOTH HOTEL. A typed note at the bottom the photo reads Bullock dray outside the Glenloth store c. 1900.

Colour photograph of a single storey, triple fronted red brick building. The front of the building is painted. There are double doors for the main entrance and three single doors - one to the left and two to the right of the main doors. There is a large, ornamental parapet wall on the front of the building with a flag pole. A wide verandah runs the length of the front of the building with a pitched section over the main entrance. The LH side of the building is unpainted and has four windows high on the wall. A red brick building is partially visible on the RH side of the photo. It has two chimneys and iron roof.

The current St Martins Anglican Church was built in 1963 to replace the first weatherboard church built in 1889. Shire of Charlton photo c. 1989.
Colour photo of St Martins Anglican Church. White brick single storey building with an iron roof and blue fascia trim. There is a dark coloured double door with windows on either side and above it. There are large clerestory windows on the front and side of the building. A low pale brick fence capped with darker brick runs beside the footpath. An older weatherboard building with a rusty iron roof is partially visible behind the main church building.
St Martin's Anglican Church Armstrong St Charlton c. 1901, built in 1889. The weatherboard church was used until the early 1960s when it was replaced by the current brick building. The cataloguing sheet lists Mr John Gidley King in the photo.
