Early use of Crown Land for holiday makers prior to the Great Ocean Road extension, when leaseholders were forced to relinquish their land and houses. Includes a list of the names of occupants at that time. Also includes letters from the Crown Lands Dept about the efforts to retain the Crofts Bay Huts.

Significance

Significant because it is an eyewitness description of the huts which were demolished in the mid 1970's. Also describes holiday activities and mentions other families in the area.
