Historical information
It is believed these tiles came from the Cupa Group, which began its activities in 1892, mining slate from a quarry near Leon, Spain. The quarry and company is still active today.
There is no record of what specific building these particular tiles were located on.
Physical description
3 x Black slate tiles rectangular in shape with "CUPICA" painted in white across the back of the tiles. "14/5/89" is also painted on the tiles - this is believed to be the date the tiles were made. One tile is broken
