Historical information

Churchill Island Heritage Farm has a large photographic collection dating from the nineteenth century.

This series showcases photographs taken in the 1930s and 1940s and shows people who lived and worked on the Island during the Jenkins period. This photograph shows the son of the owner of Churchill Island - Ted Jenkins - sitting in a pony cart being moved through the Island (a method of transportation he often used instead of relying on his wheelchair).
