Published in Adelaide in 1897 by Charles Edward Bristow (the South Australian Government Printer), this heavy octavo volume captures the verbatim transcript of the First Session of the Australasian Federal Convention, held in Adelaide from 22 March to 5 May 1897. The volume contains verbatim debates from the convention, where statesmen from across the colonies drafted the framework for the Australian Constitution.
