Churchill Island Heritage Farm has a large photographic collection dating from the nineteenth century. This series showcases photographs taken in the 1930s and 1940s and shows people who lived and worked on the Island during the Jenkins period. This photograph shows Ted Jenkins being pulled by the pony - the typical way he travelled around Churchill Island in lieu of a cumbersome and delicate wheelchair - and Gid Ashley seated on the wheel.
Black and white photograph with a white border of a man in a small cart being pulled by a pony, with another man sitting on the wheel. The group are pulled up in a paddock with the inlet in the background. Digitised from a high resolution copy (original Polaroid is in poor and fragile condition)
