Photo of Stawell Savings Bank, Upper Main Street Stawell. First opened on 22nd April, 1880
Note the decorative Gas Fired street lamp with Savings Bank printed on the glass. Savings Bank is also printed on the two windows.
The street lamps were moved when the bank transferred to free hold premises in 1889. Location of the original Savings Bank building is not known.
Physical description
Two photo's, one a print of the larger black and white photo on cardboard. The image, two buildings very similar side by side.
One building has two arch windows and arched door with a decorative light post out the front. The other one door with door bell and one square window.
Road and gutters are brick paving.
