The great Magdala Lottery Cake Baked at Victoria Bakery Patrick Street by Mr J. Walker.
Initially made to celebrate the official opening of the Magdala Mine Sept 15 1868
Then made yearly it was sold in pieces with embedded gold or silver coins as prizes.
