Pines. Royal Mail Hotel Glenorchy 1863-1870.
In 1862 John Meredith let a contract to Candy & Giles to build this hotel. It was a large brick building and elaborately furnished and had most expensive accommodation. It was opened with a Dinner and Grand Ball in 1863. W.B. Pine was the first Licensee.
