Significance

Margaret Winfred Tarrant, (1888 - 1959) was born in Battersea and was a prolific English illustrator that created posters, greeting cards, calenders, postcards and books for fifty years. She was most popular during the 1920's and 1930's for her romantic depiction of children, fairies and animals.
