The two set squares belonged to the donor's father. Purchased in Melbourne in 1912. He was an engineer with John's Waygood, Otis and Skinner, lift engineers. The only hydraulic lift remaining in Melbourne was designed by and installed by Edward Hughes
Physical description
Australian oak drafting set squares. Edges inlaid with ebony. One 45 degree angle, the other 60 degree angle.
