Belonged to Mr. & Mrs. Tate of Powelltown and was given as a wedding present
13cm round pewter container with 5 cm deep lid. Copper handle with ornate fittings. Inside pewter tray for holding butter, and would have ice in the main container. Original condition would have been silvered.
