Significance

Symbol of White horse City and City of Matsudo's friendship

Physical description

Two table mats presented to WHS by our sister city Matsudo. Number 1 shows Togo Tea House built in 1884 with the garden in the foreground with pots of chrysanthemums in many colours. An insert in the left hand bottom corner 'Whitehorse-Matsudo Sister Cities Celebrating Friendship'. With black circle on left side with a yellow and pink flower and 1971 on it. Number 2 is Named ' Pear Orchard' with background of green trees gold pears hanging from branches. Insert in left hand bottom corner as above.
