Letter from Elizabeth Linay Charlton about the life of the Linay family, particularly about Robert Linay who built the original Vermont State School 100 years ago. Robert Linay and his brother migrated to Australia from the Orkney Islands in the mid 1800's and set out for the Ballarat gold fields. He later had a timber mill in Prahran.
