Ms Lucas grew up in Tunstall, now Nunawading and vividly describes her life from about 1920, growing up in a working class family on a flower farm, her career in a soft furnishing factory, social life based around her church, the depression, her Marriage in the 1930's and the changes during and after the war. She tells her story to 1954.
