Historical information
In 1887, land on the south east corner of Whitehorse Road and Richards Street, Mitcham was purchased and in 1888 a weatherboard church was erected. This early church was used until 1921, when the building was moved to a site in Mitcham Road, just north of Whitehorse Road. The church was enlarged and re-opened in 1921
