The Nunawading Ladies Benevolent Society became the Whitehorse Emergency Relief Network in 1999 when a number of local organizations were encouraged to form a network by Betty and Keith Rooney. The object of the network is to collect domestic items to assist people in need, especially women who have been victims of domestic violence.
