Historical information

Matsudo has been a sister city of Whitehorse since 1971. Based 20 kms from Tokyo Matsudo covers an area of 62 square kms and has a population of 482,000. Numerous citizen exchanges and visits occur particularly by Jaycees, scouts, guides Lions and sporting clubs. In 2016 the delegation of officials and community members visited the museum and Schwerkolt cottage then have a relaxed box lunch
