Physical description

Compilation of thirteen gelatin silver photographs recording the opening of the Municipal Golf Links (now called Brighton Public Golf Course) on the corner of South Road and Dendy Street, Brighton East, 30 May 1936.

The photographs include oval portraits of Cr. J.A. Grant, The Mayor; Cr. E.M. Young, Chairman; Cr. J.A. Kennedy; Cr. J. Redapple;
C.E. Tuxen, City Engineer; and J.H. Taylor, Town Clerk. There are also photographs of speeches at the Kiosk and people playing golf including the Mayor driving the first ball.

Brown window mount has original white handwritten lettering and ornamentation.
