The patches are 38th BN AIF, raised Bendigo1916, served France & Belgium, disbanded at Wars end, became local CMF unit post war, then 2/38th BN, disbanded during WW2, post re raised as 38th Bn Northern Victorian Regt.
Colour patches, rectangular shape, khaki colour backing, centre oval shape patch divided red at top, purple at bottom.
