Significance

An early black and white photograph of the Steavenson River in Marysville, Victoria. The Steavenson Falls is named after the Victorian Assistant Commissioner of Roads and Bridges, John Steavenson who arrived here in the early 1860s. This photograph was published by Murray Views in Gympie, Queensland, as a souvenir of Marysville.
