Mt Beauty was built by the SECV during the construction of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme.

Significance

Kiewa Hydro Co-operative Distribution Society Ltd. was one of the original shops in Mt Beauty This photo shows Mt Beauty Shopping Centre with the Post Office on the corner.

Physical description

Large black and white photo mounted on thick cardboard. String, for hanging, attached by tape on the back.
White cardboard has been trimmed. Photo now framed in light brown frame.
