Historical information

Roper's Hut belonged to the Roper family who brought their cattle up onto the Bogong High Plains during summer. Their hut was visited and used by skiers and walkers. The log books kept a record of their visits over the years.

The log books gave an insight into the activities of visitors, the weather, the frequency, etc. The case was a safe place for storage of these books.
