The Taungurung (Daung Wurrung) are the original people of the Upper Goulburn Valley and the area that we know as Murrindindi. Before white settlement it was known as Murrumdoorandi by the local indigenous people translating as: Place of Mist and Mountains./ Many Taungurung People still live in their country and care for it. They are a valuable source of knowledge and cultural information and continue to welcome all who respect their culture and values./ My wife and I moved to Marysville around 15 years ago. We were drawn by the diversity of the natural environment in this region and I have been exploring and photographing these places ever since./ I hope as you look through the photographs in this book the Murrumdoorandi inspires you as it has me.
