Frederick Gladstone PROCTER (1898-1977) This decorative enamelled punch bowl mounted on blackwood pillars drew attention when it was exhibited in a shop window display to attract new students in 1932. The Ballarat Technical Art School was well known for its art metal work which was applied to product, interior and commemorative designs. Students undertook many commissions. A small jewellery and enamelling class was also introduced in 1922.

Ballarat School of MInes was a predecessor of Federation University. Newspaper produced by students of Senior Secondary School age who attended courses at the SMB. Items include a visit to H.M. Pentridge Prison, Melbourne to see the Mess Hall Players production of "Comedians" by J Paynton, Marylin Rundle and Linda Smith; information on the camp to Lorne by Kathy Lund and Jack Begbie; film revue of "The Rock Horror Picture Show" by John Mitchell; and revue of Russell Morris and the Rubes at the Civic Hall in Ballarat. Cathy Lees wrote about the 1981 SMB Raft Race on Lake Wendouree. Resident Revoluntionary wrote about the Unions and strikes. Jeff Zilles printed the newspaper.

The Ballarat Junior Technical School Pine plantation was a 32 acre sight at Nerrina wehre several thousands of pine trees were planted over three years.
Information from the Victorian Education Department in regards to the Ballarat Junior Technical School Pine Plantation. Also includes newspaper articles on the Nerrina Pine Plantation. A letter was addressed t o teh Old Boys Association, Junior Technical School, amd addressed the question of a subsidy for fencing.
