          Painting - Oil Painting, Moonahs on Coast, 1924

          Miss Minnie Laurence was a cousin of Albert E Ford whose mother was a Laurence. The Laurence family was friendly with the Amess family who owned Churchill Island until 1929. Minnie Laurence often visited the Amess family on Churchill Island. She gave this painting to Mr Albert E Ford and Marion Ford as a wedding present in 1925. Kenneth and Fay Morris were given the picture from Marion Ford (Ken's mother). They loved Churchill Island and requested to hang it there. Margaret Morris was the daughter of Kenneth Ford.

          Oil painting by Minnie Laurence titled Moonahs on Coast. It depicts the coastal setting of the moonah trees that grow on Churchill Island.
