Galen Catholic College fielded a team in an inter-school athletics event at Olympic Park in Melbourne, in about 1991. These photos chronicle their participation.
Between 1975 and 1982, Galen Catholic College and Champagnat College were located more or less on the same school grounds, but in separate buildings. The two schools had two separate teaching faculties. These few photographs were taken of the staff at Champagnat College in the early 1980s.

Saint Joesph's College was a Catholic girl's school situated in Ryley Street in Wangaratta. In 1983, it joined with Champagnat College and Galen Catholic College, to form an enlarged Galen Catholic College, serving Year 7 to 12 students. Many of the staff at Saint Joseph's College that appear in these photos from the 1970s and the early 1980s, went on to teach at Galen College, becoming stalwarts of the school.

Galen Catholic College has been known for many years, for its Music programme. These photos were taken at one of the Galen Catholic College Band's performances. The Galen Catholic College Band has been heavily involved in the college's theatrical productions, in addition to their concert performances.

Brother Ross Keane became the 1st principal of Galen Catholic College in 1975 and served in this role until the end of 1982. During this time, Galen Catholic College was as a catholic co-educational college for Years 11 and 12 only. Prior to 1975, boys in the senior year levels stayed on at Champagnat College, girls at the same year levels stayed on at St. Joesph's College. Brother Ross Keane belonged to the Marist religious order, which had a long association with Champagnat College.

Sister Anne Boyd became the 1st principal of Galen Catholic College as a catholic co-educational college for Years 7 through to Year 12, following the merger of Galen Catholic College, Champagnat College & St. Joseph's College. She took over the helm at Galen College from Brother Ross Keane. Sister served as the school principal until Max Fletcher took over in 1987. Sister Anne was the last principal of Galen Catholic College to belong to a Catholic religious order.

Max Fletcher became Galen Catholic College's 1st lay principal in 1987, taking over from Sister Anne Boyd. Mr. Fletcher served as the school principal until the end of 2001. During his time as our principal, many building projects were undertaken and the number of students at Galen Catholic College continued to rise. The most significant development during Mr. Fletcher's tenure was Galen College becoming a one campus school in 1990. Mr Neal is the longest serving principal that Galen Catholic College has had. The Max Fletcher Auditorium located on our campus was named after Mr. Fletcher.

Dave Seiter became Galen Catholic College's 2nd lay principal in 2002, taking over from Mr. Max Fletcher. Mr. Seiter served as the school principal until the end of 2009. During his time as our principal, many building projects were undertaken including the Galen Catholic College Junior Library & Junior School. The number of students at Galen Catholic College continued to grow steadily during his tenure at the school.

Bernard Neal was became Galen Catholic College's 3rd lay principal in 2010, taking over from Mr. Dave Seiter. Mr. Neal served as the school principal until the end of 2021. During his time as our principal, many building projects were undertaken; the number of students at Galen Catholic College rose to over 1,200; and COVID-19 became one of our school's biggest challenges. Mr Neal is the second longest serving principal that Galen Catholic College has had.

Darren Hovey was appointed Galen Catholic College's 4th lay principal in 2022, taking over from Mr. Bernard Neal. During his brief time so far as our principal, Mr. Hovey has faced the ongoing challenges of COVID-19 to our school community.

Galen Catholic College has a swimming carnival every year. This series of photographs captures the unbridled enthusiasm of the competitors and supporters alike. This swimming carnival was one of the first held at the new outside Olympic pool at the Barr Reserve in Wangaratta.

At the beginning of 2021, a new covered walkway was erected that went from the Phillipson Street school entrance to the main office of the Galen Catholic College.

Galen Catholic College has offered VET Engineering as a learning stream since 2014, when the VET Engineering Shed was erected. These photos show a VET Engineering student learning to frame and construct a building structure.

For many years now, Year 8 students have attended a school camp at Anglesea to the south west of Geelong. One of the activities that the students experienced was learning to surf.

The Galen Dome was constructed during the 2019 school year. It is centrally situated between the College's main building and the Senior School buildings. The dome has been used for multiple purposes, including as a sports venue, a wet weather area and also as venue for major school events.
