Historical information

Account of Len Warren's war service, after enlisting in December 1941 at the age of 18. He served mainly in the 2/43rd Australian Infantry Battalion, in the Middle East against the German forces, and in Papua New Guinea and Borneo against the Japanese. He was wounded, and suffered several bouts of malaria before being discharged in July 1946. A more detailed version of this story is available at GHS.
