Historical information
Published posthumously in 1972, “The Great Great Australian Dream” was Robin Boyd’s satirical review of Australian culture at the end of the 1960s. Included, for example, were chapters on the peculiarities of the Australian accent, the prevalence of blowflies, and the unrealistic dreams of a fictional post-war architect Gordon Hope.
