This card is a certificate of enrolment stating that Edith Hagley is a Brownie. A Brownie is a junior member of the Girl Guide movement, a girl aged between seven and ten. Edith Hagley is believed to have been a Warrnambool girl, a relation of the donor of the card, Annette Levett. The Girl Guides have a group in Warrnambool today.
