These savings certificates were sold during WWII by the Commonwealth Govt. to raise money for the war effort. This certificate CAO12715 is for 1 pound. "Face Value is payable on 21 July 1949 being seven years after purchase date."


Part of WWII history in relation to raising money for the war effort. The Cooper family lived and farmed in the Kiewa Valley. G. Cooper may have been part of this family.
