Historical information

This small building was photographed on a Society excursion to the property of Mrs Sheila Ferguson at Hurstbridge in 1974. It was demolished around the late 1970s.

The building was located at the back of the family house at Allwood (now Hurstbridge Neighbourhood House - see Shire of Eltham Pioneers Photograph SEPP_1022), part of the original family property of Frederick and Catherine Hurst, then William and Frances (nee Hurst) Gray, then William Gordon and Sheila (nee Gray) Ferguson. The Fergusons were the last of three family generations to own the property.

The Shire of Eltham aquired the property of Allwood House in 1985 and established the Hurstbridge Neighbourhood House.
