Historical information

These photographs were taken at a RASVY Corps Formal Dinner at the Army Headquarters Survey Regiment in 1966. The formal dinner commemorated the 50th Year Jubilee anniversary of the Royal Australian Survey Corps’ formation. Known personnel in the photographs were GOC Southern Command MAJ GEN Robert William Knights CB, CBE, COL Don Macdonald MID, Director of the Survey Corps and LTCOL Frank Buckland OBE, MID who was the CO of the Army Headquarters Survey Regiment. The 50th year Jubilee Dinner silver bowl often appeared as a centrepiece in Officer’s Mess functions.

Physical description

These six black and white photographs were taken at a RASVY Corps Formal Dinner at the Army Headquarters Survey Regiment in 1966. The photographs were printed on photographic paper and are part of the Army Survey Regiment’s Collection. The photographs were scanned at 300 dpi.
