There is a short biography in point form of Pere Jean Delavay after whom the oak tree is named, a description of the tree and a brief history of how it came to be in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

Significance

Delavay's Oak is a rare tree planted in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens to celebrate the centenary of the Sisters of St John Of God Hospital in Ballarat.
