Historical information

COL Lawrence FitzGerald OBE was Director of the Survey Corps from 1942 to 1960 and was succeeded by COL Don Macdonald AM. COL Frank Buckland OBE succeeded BRIG Don Macdonald AM as Director of the Survey Corps in 1967. He served as Director until 1972. BRIG Macdonald AM was promoted before assuming the honorary position of Colonel Commandant of the Royal Australian Survey Corps.
