A black and white photograph shows a group of men constructing the form work for the dam at the base of Steavenson Falls. Steavenson Falls provides Marysville with the town's drinking water which is considered to be the second-best drinking water in the world. The Steavenson Falls are named after the Victorian Assistant Commissioner of Roads and Bridges, John Steavenson who arrived in Victoria in the early 1860s.
