This is a set of 15 photographs of personnel posted to Lithographic Squadron at the Army Survey Regiment, Fortuna Villa, Bendigo Victoria, on the 1st of October 1990. These informal and formal group photos on the day of a CO’s Parade. It is not known why sunglasses were worn at the Squadron parade outside the Litho huts. Photos of the other three Squadrons, the Officers, and Warrant Officers/Sergeants from this set of negatives are catalogued in item 6440.11P.

This is a set of 11 photographs of personnel posted to the Army Survey Regiment in 1990. These formal group photos of three of the four Squadrons, Officers, and Warrant Officers/Sergeants were probably taken after CO’s Parades. Although photo .11P is part of this set of negatives, it was taken on another occasion as the SGTs Mess personnel were in summer uniforms. Photos of Lithographic Squadron from this set of negatives are catalogued in item 6441.15P. LTCOL John Winzar was the CO of the Army Survey Regiment from 1987 to 1989 and WO1 Neville Stone was the RSM from 1988 to 1990.

This is a set of 15 photographs of a visit to the Army Survey Regiment, by the Regimental Sergeant-Major of the Australian Army (RSM-A) WO1 Kevin (Lofty) Wendt OAM, BEM on the 10th of August 1989. He was taken on a tour through the production facilities and messes. RSM-A WO1 Kevin (Lofty) Wendt OAM, BEM was the 2nd RSM to be appointed to the position of RSM-A, the most senior Warrant Officer position in the Australian Army. His appointment was from 1987 to 1990. On this occasion he was escorted by WO1 Neville Stone, who was the RSM of the Army Survey Regiment from 1988 to 1990. Equipment - WATER BOTTLE WW2
Number stamped on leather strapping around the bottle is “435891” This matches Flying Office Mervyn Albert Henry Schramm who enlisted 8/10/43 and was discharged 20/12/45 and was posted to RAF Station Gampston. The name written on the felt bottle cover possible “lowein” ?? Does not match any on the DVA rolls.
Military Issued Water Bottle. Bottle in blue tin metal but is fully bound in brown felt material. Wrapped around felt is a leather strap that hooks over the shoulder. The water bottle is capped by a cork top with a metal hook into a wooden top on the cork. Lid is attached to the case by a piece of string.
Written on the felt case cover in black pen a name appears to be "Denis Lowein". Stamped on leather strap No. “435891”, also on side strap "R.A.A.F K.W (over)194?"

1. Silver, coloured metal cap badge. Design is pressed into metal. Depicts a circlet with "ARGYLL AND SUTHERLAND" inscribed. Cypher with interlaced and reversed "L". On the left of the cypher is a boars head and on right is a wild cat. Above the cypher is a coronet. All within a wreath of thistles. 2. Silver coloured metal cap badge. Design features a Maltese Cross over a laurel wreath and Order of the Garter Star. Battle honours of the regiment inscribed on the four arms of the cross. Centre of the cross has "ARROYO DOS MOLINOS 1811" inscribed. THE BORDER REGIMENT inscribed on a scroll below cross. 3. Silver coloured metal cap badge, design features a castle within a laurel wreath. Above castle is a scroll inscribed "Gibralter". Below the castle is another scroll inscribed "Talavera". On the base of the wreath is a scroll inscribed "Northhamptonshire".

1. Rose gold coloured hinged sovereign case. Circular in shape, interior has spring loaded clip for holding a sovereign. Catch and ring for a chain located on top. Owners initials engraved on front. Message to owner engraved on inside of lid. Outside front and back finely engraved. Hallmark on inside. 2. Brass coloured hinged sovereign case. Circular in shape. Pressed decoration and blank cartouch on front. Back plain. Dark felt lining inside lid. Interior has spring loaded clip for holding a sovereign. Catch and ring for a chain located on top.

This is a set of seven photographs of personnel posted to the Army Survey Regiment in 1989. These formal group photos of three of of the four Squadrons, Officers, and Warrant Officers/Sergeants were probably taken after a CO’s Parade. There were no photos of Headquarters Squadron in this set of negatives. LTCOL John Winzar was the CO of the Army Survey Regiment from 1987 to 1989 and WO1 Neville Stone was the RSM from 1988 to 1990.

These 18 photographs were taken at an Army Survey Regiment Open Day at Fortuna Villa, Bendigo on the 24th of February 1990. This occasion was one of several events held to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the formation of the Royal Australian Survey Corps. Although historical tours of Fortuna occurred on a regular basis, this was the first technical open day since 1972. The Royal Australian Survey Corps recognised that an Open Day was the best way for the local community in Bendigo to gain an insight into the unit’s important role as Defence’s map production agency, its technical equipment, and its economic importance to Bendigo. It also gave them an opportunity to tour through historic Fortuna Villa. This occasion is covered in more detail in page 143 of Valerie Lovejoy’s book 'Mapmakers of Fortuna – A history of the Army Survey Regiment’ ISBN: 0-646-42120-4. Refer to items 6434.27P and 6435.35P for more photos of the Open Day taken inside Fortuna, the garden areas and Map Production areas of Air Survey and Cartographic Squadron. Photo prints of some of these photos were scanned and catalogued in items 6247.30P and 6291.6P.

Trophy established to recognise winners of shooting trophy of unidentified unit but most likely 8/7th Battalion, Royal Victorian Regiment.
Brown wooden stained trophy. Mounted on top of gold coloured tin lid and mounted on lid 2 metal rifles about 10 cm high leaning against a metal plate. With the name of trophy engraved. On front is two metal plates. First plate engraved with 6 past winners and second plate along bottom mostly empty with just one past winner.
Title engraved; "Somme Barracks Rifle Shooting Trophy". Also engraved 7 past winners.

Gold coloured metal medallion. Obverse side features an Australian Coat of Arms in the middle. Above the Coat of Arms are two clasped hands. Encircling the Coat of Arms are two rifles and a floral chain. A small ring is attached at the top to hold a chain. Recipients' details are engraved on the back. Hallmark stamped on bottom of back.
Engraved on reverse side: "Presented by the Shire of East Loddon to R.H. Baron in grateful appreciation of service rendered in A.I.F. in the Great War." Stamped on reverse side at bottom "Hallmark Symbols".

A compilation of articles, stories, poetry and illustrations written by men of the ANZACS in Gallipoli. In Nov 1915 a committee was established to produce the publication with cash prizes offered after evacuation correspondents, Charles Bean and Arthur Bazely edited the contributions.
160 page soft cover book, brown in colour held by two large staples. Several front pages and one back page loose. Contents cover pictures, stories, poems and other writings set in the ANZAC Campaign.
Heading 'THE ANZAC BOOK". "Written and illustrated in Gallipoli by the men of ANZAC". "For the benefit of Patriotic Funds connected with the A.N.Z.A.C."

Red Ensign set in a white embroidered circle. Glass front. Wire attached to back for hanging on a wall.
