Functional object - Student Microscope, 1960s

This microscope was made in the mid 1960s as an introductory microscope for students. As indicated by the brand plate on the front, it could be set to 3 different magnification settings of 75x, 300x or 600x. When originally produced these microscopes came as part of a kit including microscope slides and testing samples.

Physical description

Small green and silver metal microscope with adjustable focus dial. It includes a mirror and clamp arms to hold slides and plastic knobs to adjust focus.
