About

Our aim is to collect, document and preserve memorabilia and information that interprets the story and growth of a diverse and multicultural Wodonga and its surrounds, for the benefit of current and future generations.

Through the use of multiple mediums, namely social media, public outreach and community involvement, the Wodonga & District Historical Society will collect and preserve stories, photographs and memorabilia from the community of Wodonga and its surrounds from its early days, the development of the city and its manufacturing, the Railway and the construction of the Hume Weir. The diverse and multi-cultural community history of Wodonga will be told through photographic display, pop up exhibitions and research opportunities, in order to stimulate community involvement in preserving historical records for future generations.
